    as he has ·announced [decreed].

24 This is what the Lord God ·All-Powerful [Almighty; of Heaven’s Armies; T of hosts] says:

“My people living in ·Jerusalem [L Zion; 1:27],
    don’t be afraid of the Assyrians,
who beat you with a ·rod [staff; scepter]
    and raise a ·stick [staff; rod; club] against you, as Egypt did.
